Cricket Practice Nets

Practice nets built to take hard hits

A good cricket practice net turns any spare terrace, ground corner or turf into a place where a batter can practise all day. It stops the ball from flying into neighbours' windows, keeps the bowler's rhythm going and lets coaches run drills safely. Because the ball hits the netting repeatedly, the net needs to be far stronger than a normal safety net, with thick twine, strong borders and a rigid frame.

Dhanush Safety Nets designs and installs cricket practice nets for homes, schools, academies and turfs across Andhra Pradesh. The size of a cage depends on the space and the level of play, so we measure the site first and recommend the length, width and height accordingly. We use braided nylon or HDPE netting in different twine thicknesses and fix it to sturdy poles and cables that do not sway during play.

Terrace cricket nets need particular care, because wind loads at height are higher and the fixing points must be strong. We plan the poles, base plates and cables so the structure stays firm, and we add rope or cable along the top edge so the net does not sag. Whether you need a single practice lane or a full multi-lane setup, we give you a written quote after seeing the site.

Cricket Practice Nets options we install

Terrace Cricket Nets

Terrace cricket nets give city players a safe place to practise. We plan the poles and base plates according to the roof structure and wind exposure, and stretch the netting over a cable frame so it stays tight. The cage keeps the ball on the terrace and protects the neighbours.

Ground and Turf Boundary Nets

Grounds and turfs beside roads or homes need tall boundary netting to stop balls from leaving. We install poles at the right spacing and tension the netting along a top cable, so it stays upright in wind. The netting is sized so the ball cannot pass over or under it.

Box Cricket Enclosure Nets

Box cricket and small-sided sports need an enclosed court where the ball stays in play. We install netting on all sides and overhead, with a door for players, on a strong pole and cable frame. The enclosure can be used for cricket, football and other sports.

Multi-Sport Practice Nets

Not every sport needs a cricket cage. We fit netting for golf, football, badminton and general practice areas, choosing the mesh and height for each sport. This lets schools and clubs use a single space for several activities.

Materials and care

We use braided nylon and HDPE netting in different twine thicknesses, with reinforced borders and rust-protected poles and cables. Practice lanes use thicker twine than boundary nets, since they take direct hits.

Check the net for holes and the poles for movement every few months, and repair small tears quickly. Lower the net or loosen it before extreme weather if the design allows. We provide repair patches and re-tensioning when needed.
